"In Repose" oil on linen... not my normal "style" but still very much a part of my canvas journal. Im in repose... finding the rest and peace in my life. A cessation from anxiety, labor and worry...

12x24 oil on linen. "The Canopy". I watched a documentary the other night on orangutans. They live in the canopy of the forest, rarely touching the ground. It seemed like the canopy was acting like a "mother", providing nourishment, protection, and entertainment for this species. I was led to do a painting of what I imagined.

"Taking Flight" 18x24 oil on linen. I am Taking Flight... leaving behind the negative, the bullsh*t, the doubt, the insecurity... and I'm flying toward the positive, the peace, the assurance, and the security in knowing who I am and what I am worth. It may well be a bumpy flight, but I'm willing to spread my wings and give it my all.

It seemed like the canopy was acting like a "mother", providing nourishment, protection, and entertainment for this species. I was led to do a painting of what I imagined. And again.

"Life's not a bed of Roses" 18x20 oil on canvas...

"The Storytellers"... oil on canvas. Ever known a compulsive liar? Unfortunately I have. Ive dealt with destructive lies in my lifetime that have affected not only my safety, my future, but have certainly caused trust issues. This painting was inspired by these liars. One thing I've noted in the painting, is that they never look you in the eye... lesson learned.

"She Began to Open Her Eyes" With age, comes experience, and with experience hopefully comes understanding, and that will possibly lead to wisdom. My eyes see more clearly today than ever before. I certainly haven't "arrived", but I've opened the door and tasted understanding.

SOLD "Edgar", oil on canvas... paying homage to Poe and the ravens/crows that have been featured in the vast majority of my art. In the native American culture, crows are "messengers of light", in Greek mythology ravens are "messengers from the Gods". I have used them repeatedly to symbolize messages within my paintings. They are not only incredibly beautiful creatures, but very close to my heart. Poe's line "Nevermore" is my mantra. Nevermore will I accept anything other than truth and respect.

Sold! 24 x 36 oil on canvas. I truly believe that in this life, we meet those that we are intended to meet. We exude an energy, and I think we are drawn to the people who think in the same energetic frequency as ourselves. I have met people that I am still dumbfounded as to how we found one another amidst the billions on earth. This life is full of mystery, and I personally have reached the place in my life where Im possibly enjoying the mystery, more than knowing the answers.

20x24 oil on canvas....

"Umbra" which simply means shadow, sometimes from a celestial body. 18x24 oil on canvas.

Sold! 12x24 oil, "The Knowitall"... After all the serious paintings, it was time for a simple, fun piece.

12x16 oil... "Entanglement".... this painting brought itself into existence... It shows the vulnerability of someone, entangled in life's circumstances, feeling confused or feeling unable to escape. I have faith that she will not only set herself free... but do it in style!

16x20 oil on Canvas. "The Mother Tree" Fact: When the mother tree begins to die, she downloads all of her nutrients into the underground system that connects her and her offspring. In this way, she helps to ensure that they will continue to thrive.
